As a U1 S, the watch is now available complete with a black hard coating on a tgmented surface which additionally emphasizes its shape.

In the case of the U1 S, the case and crown are made of high-strength German submarine steel, which is not only exceptionally resistant to seawater, but also has the highest non-magnetic quality. The diving twist ring with minute snap action is captively connected to the housing, a jumping off with hard shocks is almost impossible. This diving watch has been tested and certified by DNV GL for compressive strength and according to the European dive machines. Its high reliability is therefore documented.
